IJburg Block 65b in Amsterdam, The Netherlands has been nominated for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture-Mies van der Rohe Award 2013. Launched in 1987, this Prize is co-funded by the EU Culture Programme and the Fundació Mies van der Rohe. By highlighting excellent architectural works that have been constructed over the last two years, the Prize draws attention to the contribution of European professionals in the development of new ideas and technologies, as well as the cultural importance of architecture in the construction of our cities.
